Mom...

I just wanted to say thank you to mine and Kyle's mom.

I think the best way to describe my mom is fearless. I'll never forget, one time when we had foster kids, she took them Wal-Mart to get pictures taken. The studio was running behind (surprise, surprise) and someone had doubled book her time slot. The other appointment was man with his wife and kid. And he was MAD. He started yelling at woman working there, calling her names and everything else. My mom stood up went over to him, and let him have it. Since, it wasn't the girl's fault, and he was just plain wrong. Then he said that he drove ALL the way from Hooper. She really got mad. "So, did I. Did you have to pack a lunch too?" The guy and his family left, sort of. He waited in the parking lot and followed her home. But when she pulled into the police station instead, he took off.

Even though sometimes I wish other wise. My mom is never afraid to say what is on her mind. And I can call her on the drop of hat, and know what ever it is I want from her, will happen. She'll even miss a dose of medicine to make sure she can stay up to play with kids. Even though my dog locks her cat in the bathroom cabinet, she'll always watch him when ever we go somewhere. She is a wonderful example to me.

I have the perfect picture of Debbie when she was younger. Do you think I can find it? Anyways, Debbie is a wonderful Grandma. She always takes time to talk to the kids when they call, even though Kiwi can be hard to understand. She'll tell Kiwi that her baby does look cute, when she holds the phone up so Debbie can "see" the baby. She always tries to come to Gavin's T-Ball games, and the kids love to spend time at her house. She's creative and finds something new for them to do everytime they come.

Steve is a truck driver. When we first got married, all of us went to St. George. Steve drove his truck, Debbie and Courtney followed in their car, and Kyle and I followed in ours. It was fun to caravan down. We stopped, I think Steve was unloading his truck, and bought walkie-talkies. And played games the whole way down. It was alot of fun. Debbie's favorite things is traveling, and playing. She's always ready to go do something new and fun. The best thing I've learned from her is try something new.
