Kyle's Birthday

For Kyle's birthday I talked him into riding the frontrunner down to The Mayan. We hadn't been for a while and I figured it would make it an adventure for the kids, who had never been there. What a terrific idea!! We left here at 6, it was a two hour ride down. My children, not that excited to ride the trains. What a disaster! Kiwi hated it from beginning to end. And Gavin tried very hard to be good. But he was tired and hungry. So, we finally get to the darn place only to be told it was an hour wait. So, I grabbed a handful mints off there counter and let Kiwi run around a waiting area, as though she was parentless. (Well, I followed her to keep from going outside. But I really didn't care at this point what she was doing as long she didn't get hurt.)
They really enjoyed the diving and watching "real" Indians dance. And then we got to do the whole thing over again. Only this time we had to sit outside the frontrunner station a half hour waiting for it to come. And because it was the last train of the night we sat inside for another 40 mins. Waiting the last of trax trains to come in. Finally on the way home everyone slept but me, and we got home 12:30. So, we were gone 6.5 hours for a meal. Yay! And poor Kyle had to get up at 5 for work.
